Program Description:
The Bachelors of Applied Science - Information Technology program provides students with the skills required to design, develop, deploy and maintain modern business computer systems and applications. When enhanced with a strong business foundation, students also learn the application of general management, critical thinking, communications, and problem solving skills in a technical environment. This is a program designed to continue a students education in Information Technology AFTER successful completion of an associates degree in IT from Kapiʻolani Community College.

Recommended College Courses during High School:
The courses listed below are recommended for high school students to complete through a dual credit program such as Early College when in high school. These courses meet degree requirements for the UHWO BAS - IT program.
General Academic Courses:
- ENG 100 Composition I
- *Prerequisite - Placement into ENG 100
- MATH 115: Statistics
- *Prerequisite - “C” or better in MATH 82, OR Placement into MATH 100
Program Specific Courses:
- ICS 101: Digital tools for the informational world
- *Prerequisite - None
- ICS 111: Introduction to Computer Science I
- *Prerequisite - “C” or better in ICS 110, AND “C” or better in MATH 82 or placement into MATH 103, AND “C” or better in ENG 19 or placement into ENG 22 or higher.

Transfer Agreements (Articulation)*:
Students who complete the Associate of Science degree in IT from Kapiʻolani Community College programs may apply to transfer to the following programs via a transfer agreement with the 4-year university programs listed below.
Transfer agreements (also known as Articulation Agreements) are individual agreements between programs that facilitate a smooth transition from 2-year associate degree programs to 4-year bachelor degree programs.
