Artificial Intelligence Pathway Map to Employment

Artificial intelligence (AI), is a branch of computer science that focuses on building and managing technology that can learn to make decisions, carry out actions on behalf of a human being and perform human-like tasks. This requires processing large amounts of data into AI algorithms that will recognize patterns and make predictions or classifications based on the data recieved. While this is a fast changing field, Hawaiʻi postsecondary programs will help students understand the fundamentals of what AI is and how it can be used to make the world a better place. Most Jobs in the AI field require a bachelors degree or higher. Some of the job titles in AI are Deep Learning Engineers, Data Engineers or Data Scientists.
